History Instructor Susan Livingston of Madison was selected as 兔子先生鈥檚 Rankin Campus Faculty Member of the Year by students in the Honors program and the Alpha Omicron Omega chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

鈥淪he is very caring and committed to her students,鈥 said Joy Rhoads, Rankin Campus Honors Program Director. 鈥淢s. Livingston consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that her students have every opportunity to grow, learn and succeed.

鈥淪everal students who nominated Ms. Livingston commented on her enthusiasm for history and her vast knowledge. They appreciate her concern for their understanding and enjoy her congenial demeanor. It is my privilege to work alongside her,鈥
Rhodes said.

Livingston said it was an honored to be selected.

鈥淚t’s a pleasure to teach such bright, motivated students, and I appreciate the excellent attitude they have toward education,鈥 Livingston said. 鈥淓ven though most of my students need only one history class to fulfill a core requirement, I’ve been encouraged by their enthusiasm and am so excited when many return for further electives. I truly enjoy the time I get to spend with them, so to be chosen for this award means a great deal to me.鈥
