Eagle Marching Band

The Eagle Marching Band meets during the fall semester on the Raymond Campus. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúCC is exceedingly proud of its marching band, and rightfully so. Week after week the band dazzles audiences with its halftime shows, featuring the finest precision corps-style marching, playing, dance choreography, and color guard work. A tradition of quality and excellence in performance is fueled by the intense personal pride of Eagle Band members, who not only share group honors, but individual successes as well. Many Eagle musicians have participated in such acclaimed organizations as the Mississippi Lions All-State Band, The USA Honor Band, and The All-South Honor Band, as well as internationally known drum corps such as Phantom Regiment, Spirit of Atlanta, Blue Devils, Skyryders, Blue Coats, Cavaliers, Carolina Crown, Troopers and many others.

The Eagle Band has appeared in parades and halftime exhibitions in cities such as New Orleans, St. Louis, Buffalo, Colorado Springs, and Pasadena. Honor trips have been to the Sugar Bowl, Gator Bowl, Hall of Fame Bowl, and the Bands of America Regional Competition among others. The band’s reputation as a powerhouse among community college bands is also apparent locally, where it performs regularly in area parades and in exhibitions at high school marching festivals.

Fall Semester Rehearsal Times

The Eagle Marching Band meets during the fall semester on the Raymond Campus. Rehearsal time for the Eagle Marching Band is kept to a minimum, as most members are not music majors and many have jobs. The Eagle Band rehearses from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Football games are usually on Thursday nights, with an occasional Saturday game and exhibition. All wind players participate in a private lesson and dance/color guard/percussion sections rehearse about an hour once a week until midterm.
