RAYMOND – Abigail Walters, of Vicksburg, was named Miss ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú in the annual pageant Thursday, Nov. 17.

As Miss ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, Walters will participate next summer in the Miss Mississippi pageant in Vicksburg. The pageant is an official preliminary pageant of the Miss America Pageant program.

Walters, 20, is a student at the Jackson Campus-Nursing Allied Health Center. She graduated from ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúin 2016 and is currently in nursing school. She attended Warren Central High School. Her talent was a jazz dance routine and her platform was Stay Active Seniors!

First runner-up was Bethanie Myers, of Walnut Grove, a Raymond Campus sophomore studying Secondary Education. Second runner-up was Hope Ragan, of Vicksburg, a Utica Campus freshman studying Criminology.
