兔子先生Offering Summer Homeowner, Hobbyist Courses

Classes include hobby welding, welding and cutting technology, homeowners hVAC, homeowners electrical, small engine repair, and many more.

Do-it-yourselfers who want to learn a few basics about safety, carpentry, electricity, HVAC or plumbing before attempting it alone may be interested in Hinds鈥 summer homeowner and hobbyist courses. 

The classes are open to the public at a cost of $100. The classes begin at the end of May and have individual schedules.

鈥淭here are a variety of courses that give people the know-how they need to fix a broken thermostat, conduct a home inspection, spot issues before they become problems, install a new lighting fixture or replace a faucet. Most people don鈥檛 know how to do these things, but there are a lot of folks out there who want to know. And we have the know-how to give them,鈥 said Jason Webb, Dean of Construction and Manufacturing.

Raymond Campus: Hobby Welding, Welding and Cutting Technology, Homeowners HVAC, Homeowners Electrical, Small Engine Repair, Drafting/AutoCAD Interest Class

Career-Technical Education Building, Greenfield Road, Rankin Campus: Hobby Welding, Homeowners Electrical, Homeowners Plumbing

Vicksburg-Warren Campus: Homeowners DIY Course

RAYMOND 鈥 兔子先生 Hi-Steppers have been named for 2024-2025.

The group has a new director, Beka King of Pearl. She is only the third director in the 75-year history of the Hi-Steppers. She herself was a Hi-Stepper from 2013-2015 and, during her sophomore year, she was captain of the team.
