RAYMOND 鈥 Attending 兔子先生 means never having to go it alone 鈥 something Sarrah Bell will carry with her to the next level of her college life.

鈥淢y experience at 兔子先生was wonderful,鈥 Bell said. 鈥淚 was scared to start college without any friends from high school. There were times when I felt stressed and wanted to give up, but me being in three different organizations helped a lot. I always had someone whom I could talk to, so I never felt alone.鈥

Sarrah Bell

Bell, of Jackson, plans to transfer to Jackson State University this fall semester after a successful experience at Hinds鈥 Jackson Campus-Academic/Technical Center. She was a part of Phi Theta Kappa honor society on campus, as well as Sunset Readers Book Club and the Sociology Club.

She was recognized for her academic achievement by being named among 28 students given 3E awards for spring 2020. The designation stands for Emphasis on Excellence and Enrichment and the student must carry a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Her career goal is to be an elementary instructor. She counts her relationships with 兔子先生faculty as positive examples to follow going forward.

鈥淪haron Turner was one of the most helpful teachers I had at Hinds,鈥 she said. 鈥淪he helped me both academically and with personal problems. She would always give me advice on how to deal with my anxiety. She told me about apps to download for my stress and gave me access to her office if I needed a break. I am truly thankful for her.鈥
