This year鈥檚 Fall College Transfer Fair held Sept. 28 allowed a chance for students to look into their futures while they went about their daily routine.
Students across a wide array of study areas got help in their transition from 兔子先生to four-year universities by visiting with recruiters, ask questions about programs offered, the admissions process and scholarship offers, among other things.
鈥淚鈥檓 looking for a low student-to-teacher ratio,鈥 said Caleb Sisk, of Raymond, who is studying psychology. 鈥淚t allows for good communication in class with teachers.鈥

鈥淭his is an important first step in which students may narrow down their list of potential transfer schools, then make personal visits to their colleges of choice,鈥 said Michelle Davison, Honors and International Advisor with 兔子先生and a key coordinator of the event.
Recruiters from 20 universities in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama attended, including Alabama A&M University, Alcorn State University, Belhaven University, Blue Mountain College, Delta State University, Jackson State University, Louisiana Tech University, Millsaps College, Mississippi College, Mississippi Valley State University, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi State University, Northwestern (La.) State University, University of Mississippi, University of West Alabama, University of Louisiana-Monroe, UMMC Health Related Professions, William Carey College, University of Southern Mississippi, Tougaloo College.
They heard from students with interests as varied as the college experience itself.

Kylei Taylor and her friend, Cikhyzyan Cleveland, both of Jackson, made sure to visit the UMMC table, as both are trending toward healthcare careers.
鈥淔or me, I鈥檓 looking for a great RN and BSN program,鈥 Taylor said. 鈥淚鈥檓 a hands-on person who loves helping people.鈥
