Deaf Awareness Week
September 23 @ 9:00 am—11:00 am
To promote inclusion of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) on campus, promote Deaf Awareness amongst the students, faculty and staff and to educate about Deaf culture. We are inviting MS Dept. of Rehabilitation Services to provide a display of past and present assistive technology devices. We are also inviting the MS School for the Deaf to participate and tour the campus. Join us in the courtyard to learn more.

September 23: Nothing is Impossible
Learn colors in ASL in the courtyard from 9 – 11 a.m.
September 24: Nothing About Us, Without Us
Learn about the different assistant technologies: Closed Captioning
Courtyard 9 – 11 a.m.
September 25: Read My Lips
Learn Reading lips alone is not effective in the courtyard from 9 – 11 a.m.
September 26: Help
Learn Emergency Sign Language in the courtyard from 9 – 11 a.m.
